SwampDogs will be hosting the 5th annual Sandhills Senior Showcase
All-Star Game at J.P. Riddle Stadium on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
This special event will involve recently graduated seniors who played in
the region. The players will be chosen through a nomination
process of all league coaches and be voted upon by members of the local
media. We would like the participants to exemplify the qualities
of the student athlete, meaning the nominees should all be good citizens
in the classroom with a minimum grade point average.
On Sunday, June 10, all participants will be invited to attend a catered Luncheon with a special guest speaker. After the game, we will award a Most Outstanding Player, who will receive the $1,000 Grainger Barrett Memorial Sponsorship towards his first year college tuition, courtesy of the SwampDogs and the game sponsors Lumbee River EMC and South River EMC. The SwampDogs plan on continuing this as an annual event and want to thank all the athletic directors and coaches throughout the region in advance for your participation and help.
